It was a really good spot to have dinner and was honestly incredible. The staff were really nice. The only thing is that you have to order by scanning a barcode, which I didn’t find too difficult. It actually avoids communication issues since everything is done through the website, but it is necessary to bring a phone and have access to Wi-Fi to order. You can always choose the “pay at front” option, where they bring the machine at the very end and you pay there. The food is really good, and the portion sizes are huge. Everyone I went with had enough to take leftovers home. The pricing is very reasonable. They also have boba tea with a really nice selection, along with a pretty big dessert menu. It’s a great place for a large group of people, and they are pretty busy even during weekdays. Their braised duck is incredible. Their Shanghai noodles are pretty good, and the stir-fried chicken rice is also really good

Love this spot. So cute inside and the staff are all really kind. The milk tea is delicious! They don’t use powder so you can really taste the flavors in the tea. The shredded potatoes have a tasty chili oil flavor. And the chicken wings!! I don’t even normally go for chicken wings but these are so good. The batter has this lemony/salty flavor and they are really crispy and fresh. 10/10 recommend.

Tasty House Chinese and Japanese Noodle Restaurant is an excellent spot near the University of Alberta! The food, service, and environment are all outstanding. There are so many Chinese and Japanese dishes to choose from, and everything tastes fresh and authentic. Prices are quite reasonable too. A great place to visit especially if you have Chinese friends in your group who enjoy sharing a variety of dishes!
